I decided to get him a special gift – a Cubs blanket that he can use at home and in bed. This blanket will keep him warm during long playoff games and will represent his team and city with pride. He’ll love being able to use it when the Cubbies are finally crowned world champions!
Last year when my son was born, I knew I had to get him a Cubs blanket. My husband and I are die-hard Cubbies fans and while we can’t always go to games together, we wanted to make sure our son had the opportunity to root for the team that we love. I found a great deal on eBay for a decades-old Chicago Cubs blanket and ordered it. When the package arrived, I couldn’t believe how soft and warm it felt. This year, my son turned 24. To mark the occasion, I decided to give him something he truly values – his own personal Chicago Cubs blanket. And as with all good things, there’s even a little bit of nostalgic sentiment behind it too: my son grew up watching the Cubs play in Wrigley Field right across the street from our house. So this blanket is both functional and special to him – which is why I think it will be a hit!
My son was just awarded a baseball scholarship to play collegiate ball in the USA. To commemorate his accomplishment, I decided to make him the most special gift ever – a Chicago Cubs blanket!
