Nike ́s Life Is Culture series presents a look into each culture as a single garment. In this case, we are given an urban 3D windbreaker illustrated with a reconstruction of an ancient Akkadian Sumerian hanging skirt.

The designers working on this project wanted to merge the cultural icons together without forcing the viewer to see one or the other in the foreground. The artists designed their project in order to lift up and celebrate women who participated in creating history – that is what Nike convinced us of through their visual information communication design strategy, looking at each cultural figure from women’s point of view. Do you think it worked?
