Taylor Swift Bring The Eras Tour comes to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara

It’s finally here, Swifties.

Bay Area fans can catch Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour this weekend.

On Friday and Saturday, the pop superstar will perform two sold-out concerts at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

Please see our concert guide for additional information about the shows.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the parking lot opens at 2 p.m. The concert is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. At earlier stops on the over 100-date tour, Swift has taken the stage at around 8 p.m. and performed 45 songs over a period of three hours. Gracie Abrams and HAIM will open both Santa Clara shows before Swift takes the stage.

Fans are encouraged to take public transportation because traffic, delays, and road closures are expected. Capitol Corridor is offering a promotion and adjusting the schedule to accommodate Northern California concert-goers. In addition, Caltrain will offer an additional post-event train on both nights.

To accommodate a record number of passengers, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority is adding 30% more light-rail train cars to its service plan.

BART and VTA staff will be coordinating to ensure passengers can connect with BART at the Milpitas Transit Center.

StubHub’s resale prices remain over $1,000 despite tickets selling out almost immediately on Ticketmaster.

Fans have been warned against ticket scams throughout the tour by California Attorney General Rob Bonta.

According to NFL bag policies, Levi’s Stadium only allows clear bags measuring no more than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or small clutch bags measuring no more than 4.5″ x 6.5″. As for Swift-themed outfits, there will certainly be glitter, colors, and friendship bracelets. Staff at San Jose Mineta International Airport will also be trading handmade SJC-branded bracelets at shows.

Outside the stadium, tailgating is not permitted.

In the stadium’s parking lots or on nearby streets, fans without tickets will not be allowed to congregate.

The South Bay is getting a “Swiftie” boost on Friday when Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour comes to Levi’s Stadium for the first of two concerts.

In the parking lot of Levi’s, hundreds of people lined up for early merch sales at the 49ers store on Thursday. Fans with or without tickets would have been able to purchase Taylor Swift merchandise starting at 2 p.m. Friday morning. A new line had begun at 11 p.m. the night before.

It is expected that many Taylor Swift fans will make their way to Levi’s Stadium for the concerts. Area hotels and businesses are preparing for a crowded crowd. Taylor Swift fans, also known as Swifties, are loyal and committed to the artist.

Robert Thomas, general manager of Birk’s Restaurant, said they’re expecting 400 to 500 guests this weekend.

It is located about five minutes from the venue. To capitalize on the fans’ enthusiasm, they have created Taylor Swift-inspired drinks.

This alcoholic drink contains gin, honey, soda, lemon, lavender bitters, and glitter.

Bad Blood is a non-alcoholic drink for those who aren’t old enough to drink or don’t want to drink alcohol.

Having these extra shows coming in, bringing in the kind of money they’re bringing in, we all benefit from it,” Thomas said.

Hotels in the South Bay are included in that category.

Discover Santa Clara’s president & CEO, Christine Lawson, said, “They’re either booked or near maximum capacity.”

Seeing Swift’s impact locally has shocked her, she said.

It’s pretty unprecedented. I think she represents really incredible qualities. She grew up in a challenging industry,” Lawson said.

On Thursday, Natalie Kay waited in the merchandise line.

I think Taylor Swift is genuine. I think she’s kind of a dork. I find her very relatable. She’s also very smart,” Kay said.

On Friday night, Kay is going to her concert. She attended her Seattle show as well.

There were bananas there, the hotels were full, everything was so crowded.” she said.

No matter whether you follow Taylor Swift or not, her influence and impact are undeniable – locally, nationally, and internationally.

Thomas said, “We’re staffed up extra and ready.”.

What they see in terms of business coming in is beyond their wildest expectations.

KPIX 5 received a list of hotel events from Lawson:

We will have a friendship bracelet station in the lobby, as well as specialty cocktails. Candy bars with Taylor Swift wrappers will be given to all guests.

Two signature drinks will be available at Delta Hotel by Marriott Santa Clara

Each day of the concert, Hilton Santa Clara will host a tailgate party with free admission to the public. It begins three hours before the concert and ends one hour after.

There will be a Taylor Swift pop-up shop in the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara’s lobby, which will offer Midnights coffee, Eras Tour t-shirts, and Lavender Haze candles.
